Thank you for choosing Level Up Autos.
Proper aftercare plays a major role in maintaining the appearance, performance and lifespan of your vehicle wrap. Following the guidance below will help ensure your wrap remains in excellent condition for years to come.
First 7 Days After Installation
Do not wash your vehicle for at least 7 days following installation.
This allows the vinyl adhesive sufficient time to fully bond and stabilise.
During this period:
-
Avoid washing the vehicle.
-
Avoid pressure washing.
-
Avoid harsh cleaning products.
-
Avoid picking at edges or seams.
Some minor post-installation settling may occur during this period and is completely normal.
Washing Your Wrapped Vehicle
For the best long-term results, we strongly recommend hand washing.
Recommended Method
-
Use a pH-neutral vehicle shampoo.
-
Use a clean microfibre wash mitt.
-
Use the two-bucket washing method.
-
Rinse thoroughly before washing.
-
Dry using a clean microfibre drying towel.
Avoid
-
Automatic brush car washes.
-
Harsh chemicals.
-
Abrasive cleaning products.
-
Solvent-based cleaners.
-
Polishing compounds unless specifically approved for vinyl.
Regular gentle washing will help maintain both appearance and longevity.
Pressure Washers
Pressure washers may be used with care.
When using a pressure washer:
-
Maintain a minimum distance of 1 metre from edges and seams.
-
Do not direct high-pressure water directly at wrap edges.
-
Avoid concentrating water on corners, joins or lifted areas.
Incorrect pressure washing can cause premature lifting and is not covered under warranty.
Bird Droppings, Insects & Contamination
Bird droppings, insect remains, tree sap and similar contaminants should be removed as soon as possible.
These substances can stain or damage vinyl if left for extended periods.
If contamination is noticed:
-
Soften the area with warm water.
-
Use a pH-neutral shampoo.
-
Gently clean using a soft microfibre cloth.
If it can damage paintwork, it can also damage vinyl.
Fuel Spills
Fuel can damage vinyl surfaces if left untreated.
If fuel comes into contact with the wrap:
-
Clean the affected area immediately.
-
Rinse thoroughly with water.
-
Wash gently using a pH-neutral shampoo.
Prompt cleaning will help prevent staining or surface damage.
Sun Exposure
Modern wrap films are designed to withstand normal outdoor use.
However, whenever possible we recommend:
-
Parking in shaded areas.
-
Using covered parking.
-
Avoiding prolonged exposure to extreme sunlight.
Reducing UV exposure will help maximise the life and appearance of your wrap.
Winter Care
During colder months:
-
Avoid scraping wrapped surfaces with ice scrapers.
-
Remove snow gently using a soft brush or microfibre cloth.
-
Avoid aggressive de-icing products where possible.
Mechanical damage caused by scraping is not covered under warranty.
Ceramic Coatings & Protection Products
Vinyl-safe ceramic coatings may be applied after the wrap has fully cured.
We recommend waiting at least 30 days following installation before applying:
-
Ceramic coatings
-
Sealants
-
Protective treatments
Always ensure any product used is specifically designed for vinyl wraps.
Inspecting Your Wrap
It is good practice to periodically inspect your vehicle.
Look for:
-
Lifting edges
-
Damage from impacts
-
Scratches
-
Excessive contamination
-
Areas requiring attention
Early intervention can often prevent larger issues from developing.
If You Notice a Problem
If you notice:
-
Lifting edges
-
Peeling
-
Significant bubbling
-
Installation concerns
Please contact us as soon as possible.
Do not attempt to:
-

Attempting repairs yourself may worsen the issue and affect warranty coverage.
